No. HeyTeam is built for any facilities management operation where teams work shifts across multiple sites — commercial cleaning, property maintenance, and trades. The platform is the same; the workflows adapt to your vertical.
HeyTeam is designed for crews who don't want to learn new software. Workers can confirm, decline, and check in using nothing but a standard text message, reply Y or N. That's it. The app is available for those who want it, but it's never required. Adoption is never a problem because nothing changes for the worker.
Every client gets a unique daily PIN. Your worker quotes it to the client contact on arrival. The client can verify a legitimate HeyTeam-assigned worker turned up, without needing an app, QR code, or phone call to you. For anyone running multiple sites, that's proof of attendance without paperwork.
When someone cancels, HeyTeam immediately checks who else is available, qualified, and not already on shift. It sends them a text: 'Shift available, King's Cross, 6am–2pm. Reply Y to take it.' First to reply Y gets the job. You don't do anything. You get a confirmation notification when it's filled.
Yes. You set up a job once, say, Monday to Friday 6am–9am at a specific site, and HeyTeam schedules it automatically going forward. When a worker cancels on a recurring shift, the system finds cover without you being involved. You can also set up per-site rotas so the same reliable people are always assigned to the same client.
Clients can log into their own portal to see which worker is assigned to their site, view check-in and check-out times, access completed job checklists with photos, and download attendance records. It replaces the phone calls asking 'did anyone turn up today?' and gives them the audit trail they need.
When a worker arrives, they check in through the app or by SMS. They can also enter the customer PIN to confirm they're at the right site. When the job is done, they check out and complete a digital end-of-job checklist, photos of completed work, any issues flagged. The timesheet is generated automatically from that data.
